"Dressed Up" For Christmas!!

So this post is so out of sequence.  

I posted about the New Year without posting about Christmas.  

My mother-in-law had the great idea to have Christmas Dinner at my house and an evening affair.  I have to say I wasn't thrilled with the idea, until she said let's dress up for the occasion!!  So after reading a post from Ashley ASassyWoman.com I decided to shop in my closet again for this occasion.  We had italian food and everyone had a great time.  My MIL included a menu of events that included:  family fashion show, the singing game, and a family fav PIT (I can't even explain it, you have to buy it).  I included a few pictures of the family from Christmas morning and my outfit.

I got it early because I kept asking for it!! LOL!

The War is Over

I was browsing one of my favorite blogs and stumbled upon some words of wisdom.  Why do we have the clothes in our closet if we don't plan on wearing them again (paraphrasing) "Clothes are meant to be worn not to just sit in your closet"~Ashley of www.asassywoman.com  Couldn't have said it better myself!

My aunt retired from Veterans Affairs after 35 years of service and I couldn't find anything to wear at my favorite stores!  So I decided to go into my closet (duh) and I wore one of my favorite dresses from H&M.  We had a great time!  It was great to see her just relax and have some fun!

IThrift With IStyle and ReGeneration

Our month has been loaded with meetings, holiday shopping, and school. So, we have a lot to share with you this week. IStyle hosted our first thrifting event on Saturday!  IThrift With IStyle was held at ReGeneration in Clawson, MI.  Our event was an intimate gathering of friends who asked us to share with them some of the joys of thrifting!  ReGeneration was gracious enough to have us and we had a great time.  The event was so much fun, we decided to host one monthly, with the next one scheduled in January!

the great idea to make our own t-shirts for the occasion.
